I've got a magnet that is used to pick up screws and such in our parking lot. It hangs off one of our forklifts by eye bolts. One of the eyes needs to be welded back in place. What setting and rod should be used to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Use a nickel filler (either rod or electrode)---RN61 or 4N11. I would buildup the area of attachment on the magnet first. Then fillet weld attach the lifting lug welding the lug to the built up area---not to the magnet itself. A preheat of 300 degrees would probably help out.
