I am doing routings for parts in our machine shop and fab shop. I have little to no experience in the welding trade so I need some help or guidelines. I have scheduled meetings with the welders and shop managers to help me with estimating times on weldments. I would like to know if there is any scientific method to estimating these times? Is it purely experience or is there some type of way for me to use a guideline of some sort? I appreciate any and all input.
