QW452.1 n0te 2 states that
Two or more pipe test coupons with different weld metal thickness
may be used to determine the weld metal thickness qualified and
that thickness may be applied to production welds to the smallest
diameter for which the welder is qualified in accordance with
QW-452.3.

My question is " A welder welds a pipe of OD 25 mm thknss 4 mm and OD 100 mm with thikness 8 mm. His qualification will become DIA from 25 mm to unlimited , Thickness 16 mm Max. Is its this interpretation???
 
Using the above test coupons with the same welding process and no GMAW in short circuit mode, I agree with you as per note 2 of Table QW-452.1.(b).
