Hello,

I'm doing a rigid bus calculation, and need to replace a section of 6101-T6 rigid aluminum bus. Does anyone have available the welded strength of that particular aluminum alloy. After research, I see it's not avaiable. The only other solution might be the AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code - Aluminum, but I don't have that available, and I don't expect my employer will be enthusiastic about dropping $224.00.

SeanStruck,

A broken bus will cost your employer a lot more than $224.

I see that Matweb does not quote for 6101-0, which is what I think you need. Can your aluminium vendor give you information?
