Welded pressure vessel with peaking

Hi!

I need to model a pressure vessel with a peaked weld. How do I model a butt weld and how can I create a peaked shape.

It depends - what's the purpose of the evaluation?

2D axisymmetric is probably to way to go. Material properties for the weld and heat affected zones will be troublesome, but not an insurmountable probelm. Is this with respect to an API-579/ASME FFS-1 evaluation?
