Weld Mgmt Software

Can anyone offer an opinion of the useability of the commercially available software for weld management?
I'm planning on implementing weld management software this year. I work mainly with ASME Codes (Section I, VIII, IX, B31.1, B31.3) and NBIC. I do a limited amout of work with AWS D1.1 and D1.4, and a small amount of API 1104 and API 650. I have 25 permanent welders, and depending on workload, can exceed 100. I have about 75 PQR's and have 200+ WPS's.

The functions that I want in the software are:
Welder qualification/continuity tracking
PQR tracking
WPS code checking

Computer Engineering and C-Spec seem to be the dominant products in the market. Any experience with these packages to share?

Don't get me started! I've had Computer Engineering's, Pro Write, for several years. I'm still using their DOS version because the windows version was so fraught with problems that, as granny use to say, 'it was enough to make a preacher swear'. The DOS version is now unsupported and I'm going to do something different, but I'm not ready to try Pro Write's, windows version again. I'm interested to hear comments from others.

I have used Computer Engineering's Weld ProWrite (Windows Version) for the past two years and have zero problems with it. Now it is the only program I have used, but we are a ASME fab shop that pumps out about 150 pressure vessels and HX a year, and I think it works very well with what I need to do.

I develop my own but nothing on the scale of what C-Spec does. The one on the top of the page from Code Services seems pretty interesting but I have not seen it in action.I like the C-Spec/TWI software

I'm using Welding Pro Write and like it quite well (windows XP version) It won't operate very well on older Windows versions.
Its quite efficient to track WQR's, WPS's , PQR's as well as continuity. Tracks welder stamps issued etc.

I think its an excellent program. ( With later than 98 Windows )

Here is another one that you may want to consider. They cover the whole scheme of things. The Here people I know who use it are quite satisfied. They have a lot of good information on their website.
