ASME Sec 1 water wall tube restoration project Tube have been exposed to salt water for a # of years sever corrosion. The plan is to conduct weld metal build up to restore the tubes to NWT. Repair contractor has submitted WPS for the project for review. Tube material to be repaired is SA-210-A1 3" OD X 0.354". QW-482 In the section for base metals QW-403 first line it has P No 1 Group 1 - 2 to No P No listed. In the second part below Specification type or Grade it has P No 1 to JIS G3101 SS400. In ASME Sec IX under Non Mandatory Appendix D lists JIS # but not the above mentioned #. Can this WPS be used for the repair.
