weld connection in assembly

Hi all,

I understand that we use "end weld" only for shell elements (exactly midsurface).
But when I should create weld connection in assembly (eg. primary weld)?? Only when I use shell elements maybe for solid too??

There is wery little information and help about it.


Maybe somebody know about good tutorial with weldings in Pro/E.
