Hi Pro/M lovers,

I experienced a weird problem with the automatic meshing of Pro/M. The model is a Z-shaped lever made with a rectangular rod, so the model (built on Pro/E) has 3 straigth sections and 2 fillets. The problem comes with the meshing operation: the mesher creates several nodes on the fillets, but nothing on the straigth sections, so these straigth bars have super-stretched elements since their nodes are on each end of the straigth section... I've never experienced such a problem before, so I'm wondering if I changed something in the settings, causing this problem to occur. The elements are tetrahedral.

Thanks.

You can change the maximum aspect ratio in the mesh settings. This will give you more elements along a long, straight section.

Well Justkeep, I solved my problem. I just have to check the "Insert points" option in the Autogem settings. I don't know why this option was not checked by default in this model, I never had to check it by myself before.

Thanks.
