Weir made of PVC for pressure vessel

One of our clients asked us to investigate using PVC plate as weir inside one of our pressure vessels which is liquid-liquid separator. The intention is making it lightweight to do maintenance.

I am curious if anybody has experience with PVC internal parts for ASME pressure vessels.

I saw the PVC trough inside the sour liquid process vessel.
