We are looking for a solution to manufacture a composite steel deck for weigh bridge of size 12mtr x 3 mtrs having two sections of 6 mtrs each. The main W channels are of 300 mm ( 12 inch) and cross beams of 150mm (6 inches ) are placed at 1 mtr distance. 14 such members of 3.20 meters are placed along the deck. The CLC (concentrated load capacity ) is 27 tons. The total capacity of the weigh bridge is 40 tons.
We intent to pour 4000 PSI ( M30) grade concrete of 6" on the top deck.
Regards
Vijay Kumar .G.

As long as you have well studied how to meet all the forces along construction phase and for use, you can use any of the usual features for steel construction.

What is your concern, a welded or bolted joint amidst? Please be more specific on the particulars of your question.

How about hiring a qualified structural engineer?
