how can i calibrate the encoder of servomotor? i make maintenance to motor, but now it works only in automatic mode, not in manual mode. If i adjust the encoder, the motor works in manual but it doesn`t in auto.
How are we supposed to know? You haven't told us the model number of the motor or the encoder, nor what you did to the motor during 'maintenance', nor what 'manual' or 'automatic' modes are, nor the symptoms of the failure. I suggest you either post adequate detail on your problem, or consult a clairvoyant.
It is a sealing machine. The servodrive is a WEG SCA04-24/48. The servomotor is an WEG SMA-56/76. I think my people move the encoder home position during maintenance. The system is controlled by PLC Micrologix1200. The PLC is OK. I probe with another machine motor and the machine works OK. This tell me that the fail is in the motor-encoder. There is a general procedure for CAL the encoder home position? That is my question SCOTTY. I hope this information help you.
Before you think about calibrating the encoder, have you used an oscilloscope to verify that the encoder is behaving correctly? As you rotate the shaft manually you should observe the outputs changing. Is the 'home' pulse present? I am assuming that this encoder is a quadrature squarewave output with a home pulse once per revolution, but without the more data or the manual it is hard to say.
I've found the manual for the servo controller, but I haven't found anything on the motor and encoder. Do you have a link to a URL?
