Wedge Meter Tap Locations

Hi all,

I just started with a company that makes differential pressure flowmeters three months ago. I was hired because the company being consolidated back to corporate headquarters but none of the engineers were relocating. I forced as much information into my head as possible while the other engineers were still with the company. However, I am stuck on designing a wedge meter for a customer. I have as a reference, Flow Measurement Engineering Handbook by R.W. Miller. Looking at the section on segmental orifices is not giving me the information I need (at least it does not match units we have already designed). I need to know what the tap spacing is for this meter. Surely there must be some guidelines out there. I am pretty sure ASME does not specify the guidelines, but there must be a rule of thumb out there. I know my beta ratio, pipe ID and wall thickness. I should be able to come up with hi/low tap spacings and an over all length.

If anyone out there has a reference that would help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
