Hello,
I am looking for advice in how to address forces due to waves acting on a net suspended in the open water. The net would be located in front of a cooling water intake. I have calculated the forces acting on the net due to intake velocity headlosses, but i have not considered wave action, yet. Is it appropriate to use the wave height as the static pressure to determine the forces on the net? Most of the literature i've seen is for wave action on bulkheads. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
