I am having trouble with a PRV (pressure reducing valve) in my watercad model. I am getting the same steady-state results for fire flow whether I use a 2" prv or a 12" prv. For the 2" prv, I am getting velocities around 75 ft/s, with the same flow as the 12". I'm not sure what is going on here. Any ideas?

How large is your model? What are your boundary conditions? Can you share a schematic?

Maybe... The valve closes to whatever position that is needed to hold your required pressure drop, regardless of its size. Thus a 2" valve is almost full open, but the 12" valve is almost full closed but both of them give you a pressure drop of say, 50 psi.
