What is the water tank made out of of? What length of service do you need?
What grade water? (Potable? Boiler make up - not likely) Fire fighting?)

There is a variety of coating systems available. I suggest you shouldn't select a perticular system, but ask the paint supplier to provide you the best what he has and ask him to guarantee that selection with his warranty. That way you win twice, including a professional liability from the paint supplier (it could be the painting subcontractor you should use). Please note that your involvement in the material selection would void any supplier warranty and/or painting shop guarantees.

You've got internal corrosion to worry about.
AND external (wall of tank and floor of tank to ground!) corrosion. Probably some galvanic corrosion going on too depending on your tank and the type of ground water levels and ground ions.

As I said before, if you select the paint based on this forum advice, you could go wrong. The advice must come from your local paint supplier, who can ask relevant questions on the suitability of a paint, based of available application method, local environmental conditions, etc. You're asking about marine paint;- there is a miriad of marine paint suitable for salt water (sea water). You don't need to protect the inside for sea water, but yuo need a paint which is professionaly applied, tested and checked for imperfections (holidays), otherwise the tank will corrode in short time. As basic suggestion, a zinc rich primer (minimum 70-80% solids content), an epoxy intermediate coat suitable on top of this zinc primer and a good quality of organic top paint suitable for submerged application. On the exterior a zinc rich primer and polyurethane top coat. The paint specification shall be in accordance with the paint supplier instructions.

Here is an outline for water tanks:
The RO treated water will have a slightly depressed pH which will be slightly more corrosive. You should run that by the coatings rep.
You should consider the use of a 304 SS tank or an aluminum tank. These tanks would probably be more cost effective in the long run.
