Water in Deck Pier Holes 1

I have augered 4 deck pier holes, 12 in dia, 42 inches deep, near a lake. I am below water line and have 2 inches of water in two holes. Does anyone have suggestions for how to proceed with dealing with water in the holes?

what will be going into the holes (wood, steel, concrete)? What are the loads/reactions? What kind of deck is it? What soil characteristics have you observed/know about?

Thanks for your interest. I am constucting a short, 3 foot, extension to a 16 foot wide deck on the back of a condo, about 4 feet above ground level. The condos are about 40 feet from a lake, so the ground water is there below ground level. The local building inspector told me that the concrete in the sonotubes would displace the water (down and out), so no problem. The augered holes are 12 inch in diameter. Two decks are complete!
