Hello,

I'm looking to understand transients by self study. I have a copy of Waterhammer Analysis by John Parmakian, is this a good place to start? Can anyone vouch for this book? Any other recommendations?

Thanks

Any book by Wylie and Streeter is amazing.

Analysis and control of unsteady flow in pipelines by Gary Watters
Fluid Transients in Pipeline Systems by Thorley are also good reads.

If you search this site, you will find many references.
