Water flow through a flat screen

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me:

Are there any formulas for calculating the rate of flow of water through a screen for a given mesh size and pressure?

The proposed application is a gravity-fed inclined flat screen for cooling water, and I need to find out if I can get enough water through in the space I have available.
