I am not sure if I am writing on correct section. Does any one know at what pre sure air dissolves in water. As far as I know it's around 200 kpa is that correct
Is this for back-pressuring triaxial tests? If so, to reliably get rid of practically all the bubbles (like 98 percent saturation), it will probably take a lot more than 200 kPa. See if you can get ahold of Corps of Engineers manual EM-1110-2-1906 "Laboratory Soils Testing." In the 1970 edition that I have, Figure 15 of Appendix X shows how the required pressure varies with initial degree of saturation.
