Hi,

I am looking for any data regarding the loading of waste water from specific categories such as hotels/motels, office buildings, schools, etc. Has anyone done a sampling project related to this?

If you are talking about the strength of wastewater, it is generally assumed that these sources have typical sewage.

If you are talking about the quantity of wastewater, there are numerous textbooks and state regulations that list the quantities. See the attachment.

I don't think anyone would take the time to sample the listed sources.

I would also check journal articles written about this too. You may find that someone has characterized typical waste streams from those places or were required to when writing their article. You can check Environmental Science & Technology ( or JSTOR, or some other research journal. You could also try to contact them directly to see if they have that data.
