anyone ever spec. out a typical walking trail constructed using fine aggregate? I'm proposing a 6" thick section using fine aggregate (FA-6).

I've seen many trails built with fine crushed stone. It seems to hold up okay. You'll probably have to re-gravel every few years, depending on use.

If the trail is fairly level, you may want to go with a hard surface and make it more accessible to people with disabilities.
