Dear Sirs,

Got a question on Wafer connection. I've a wafer connection duo-plate check valve, can it be installed between only RF flanges or can it be installed between Flat Face flanges too? Will there be any difference on the wafer connection of the valves? If there a specification call WAFER RF(Raise face) and/or WAFER FF (Flat face)?

BR,
Hiro

That will depend on how the valves are constructed/you will have to search the exact data for your apllication and choice of brand.

Below is the link to one of the more technical advanced brands as an example. The installation instruction describe types of flanges allowed.

If your flat face flanges are cast iron, you need to worry about mating those flanges to anything which is not flat face.

If your flanges are steel, stainless steel etc., then it's doubtful that it matters. Any check valve designed to install wafer style shouldn't care about the flange bore or facing as far as its mechanical operation is concerned.
