Have you run any other subroutines on this machine and with this version of Abaqus before ? It's very likely that the problem is not in the subroutine code itself but in the connection between Abaqus and Fortran compiler. To check this download any exemplary subroutine from Abaqus documentation and try running it with associated input file.
