Dear friends,

What is your understanding of the acceptance criteria in the visual welding inspection when an individual pore is found isolated on the surface of the weld with dimension 3.0mm in a circumferential joint with 15.9 mm thickness and 18 "diam. Is approved or rejected?

Dear Jeldon,

Eliminate the pore / blow hole by filing / grinding and subsequent liquid penetrant test.

May go for a weld build up unless re-welding is an issue.
