I have created a mechanism and it moves and it is nice. I would like to illustrate the range of travel on my drawing, is there a way I can show the mechanism in two different positions in two seperate views, and keep the views parametric?

Cheers.

Use family tables.

For a mechanism - create snapshots of the mechanism (when you define different stages by clicking on the camera icon).

In drawing mode, create a new view, and make it an exploded view. Select the view state you saved in mechanism... it will show the assembly in the position.

Cheers for the responces guys. I am not sure how to make a family table work with a mechanism as I cannot select the values to alter the position of the model.
The snapshot worked well, I would never have thought of using exploded state!

You can assemble the parts twice, both in the min and max positions, make a simp rep that shows either one or the other positions and then show the view of one rep and the view of the other rep.
