We are running Solidworks 2009 SP 2.1 using NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 video cards and have had issues. Can someone suggest a better (mid. priced) card.

Thanks

Probably more a driver issue than the card. Nvidia quadro cards are the best supported cards to use in SW.

Note that the "latest" drivers may not be the recommended drivers to use with solidworks. You may need to roll-back to an older driver for best functionality.

I believe the FX 1700 is the newest generation of that card (low end). The FX 3700 would be the next step up (mid range), followed by the FX 5700 (high end).

Try removing and replacing the card, and maybe clean the contacts.

Try uninstalling the driver, reboot, reinstall correct driver, reboot.

'Better' is subjective. The FX1700 or FX1800 are supposed to be more powerful.

PDMAdmin,
Some people are experiencing lockups or disappearing views. We are running XP with one of the recommended drivers.

I'll make sure that everyone who has had issues has the correct settings and then go from there.

Thanks

We've used the Quadro FX 1500 for about 3 years now, driver 9.1.3.6 with no problems. Mostly sheetmetal, most assemblies less than 100 components.
