My company is potentially installing victaulic piping for a building glycol/water heating system operating up to 220F. The piping would be designed according to ASME B31.3 or B31.9 which I believe requires a stress analysis. We have a program called Bentley autopipe to do stress analysis but I don't have any idea how to model a victaulic joint. We checked with Bentley and they gave us a complicated model of one joint. It would take a huge amount of time to model with that complexity.

Is there an easier way to do this?

I disagree...

I do not believe that any ASME B31 code mandates a stress anaysis for any pipng system. It is up to the piping designer/engineer to ensure that flexibility is considered in a system and to determine if a "simplified" or detailed (computer based) analysis is necessary.
