Can anyone suggest a good data logging vibration recorder.

I'm looking at vibration from mechanical equipment used for shaking to remove different sizes. The equipment is mounted to a solid concrete foundation and partially connected to a steel frame. The vibration is exciting the building, from what I've heard.

There's an app for that! No, really, there is, its called "Vibration" from Diffraction Limited Design, LLC. But I would think of it more of an "I'm in a pinch" type solution over a more professional piece of equipment.
So an iPhone and a $5 app could be a solution on short notice, but I would really wait to hear from someone with a serious answer.

I'm looking for a device that can measure orthogonal axis accelerations and record the data. I've come across a couple of the devices on the internet but would like some info if anyone has used a particular device and had good results from it and/or the software that comes with it.

I'm not partial to the iProducts... I like things that I can get data from...
