Could some direct me to some general information on setting up VFD, a book, article, web site etc.

TIA

Busbar's link is a good place to start because coming from NEMA, it is as generic as possible. If you are intersted in the math of it all, here is another one that discusses the entire motor circuit etc. (the VFD info is at the end of the paper).

You must be carefull however since not all VFDs are the same. Vector drives are more complicated that V/Hz drives, and Closed Loop Vector is another thing all together. Each has different things to consider at setup. On top of that, manufacturers have different approaches to default setting etc. Some start off with no settings in order to force you to do it, others start off with the most common settings already loaded, which can be right or wrong for your application. It is always best to consult the manual from the VFD manufacturer first.
