Anybody else experiencing this? Overall it's like the program is really a dog. My NX4 istallation is infinitely faster and I have to abandon the idea of moving up for now.

Perhaps there are known issues or settings that need to be changed out of the box?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Interesting. My experience is the opposite. NX5 seems much more responsive and doesn't suffer from the frequent lock-ups I seem to get with 4.

I don't have nx5 yet. I took time to find all the command I need. I had difficulty when I moved from nx3 to nx4. I wanted to go back to nx3. But now I like nx4.

What are your hardware specs?

You might try upgrading your video driver....3d cad programs can be sensitive about the video card and driver.

Also, post your PC specs.

Another guy in my office had the same problem with more current hardware. Entry level eng system but a little more potent than mine for alot of things

I must say that the time taken to change modules in NX5 is slower than any previous version.
