Very large flanges

Hello,

I'm working in the design of some PV and I need some information about very large flanges (NPS>84). I am designing according Appx 2 ASME SECVIII div1, but it looks difficult to find an efficient solution.
The design pressure is 4 bar (58 psi) and I read (Pressure vessel design by Moss) that lap joint flange or ring flange is a good option for low pressure vessels.
Any way I would like to have some tables flanges dimensions of these diameters to at least know where start

You could get some guidance from AWWA documents, but I think they cover only up to 72".

My Texas flange catalog provides 84" flange dimensions. AWWA to 144"

I tried to calculate (with PV-elite) the flange of Texas Flange AWWA 144". It failed because the flange rigidity (rotation) and says that I have to increase the thicknes of the flange from 6.75" to 13". It is that normal or I made something wrong?

sicfred, yeah not uncommon. Any chance you can use full face gasket? Cuts moments big time.

Otherwise, the attached is basic dimensions for setting the bolt circle and other radial flange dimensions, from TEMA.

The more compact you can keep your flange the better.
