Hello everyone,
In vertical wellbore in anisotropic conditions in saturated rock.
Immediately after drilling, what would be excess pore pressure?

Would it be positive around the hole?
Why its not zero?
would it be negative?

Or its dependent on sign of mean strength increment Delta P?
Why would it be dependent on mean strength increment? whats the reason?

Soman,

It depends on drainage condition you define for the model and of course upon the permeability of the formation, if it is under drained condition, so the excess pore pressure should not be generated but in the case of undrained condition, you will see excess pore pressure around the loaded area. Check the DOF=8.
