Hello,

How I can apply lateral load and vertical load to the trunnion lifting lugs . Can I do it using compress software ?

Dream91, not familiar w/ Compress, but trunnions are typically treated as nozzles, analyzed per WRC-107.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

See DIN 28025 or Pressure Vessel Design Manual 4th edit., by D. Moss.

One mistake I made: see DIN 28085 (not 28025). SORRY.
DIN 28085 "Lifting lugs for mounting of vessels.... dimensions"

Compress software for Trunnion design is very restrictive. Compress is good however, Trunnion design is one area where Compress falls short.
It is best to use a Compress Nozzle design and set the Pressure SIF to 1.0.
