Versa-Check install starts when SolidWorks is opened

I use Versa-Check to print accounting checks on a blank form. For some reason, every time I open SolidWorks, an Install window opens, and begins to install Versa-Check, even though Versa-Check is already installed and runs properly. I've un-installed and re-installed both SolidWorks and Versa-Check. Any ideas?

I have had similar happenings with other programs, but have not discovered a reason yet. The problem usually disappears after a short while. I've just put it down to a Windows tantrum.
