Vent location

If you got a vent from a drain tank on a off-shore location (normally unmanned - no flare) whats the distance to the structure (is it any structure or just to a potential source of ignition?)

additional information:

vent is always open, but the drain tank is usually empty. There should only be draining when the jacket is manned but of course leaks etc. cant eb out-ruled
