Hello again,

Are open-ended vent lines attached to a 300 psig system with an in-line block valve subjected to ASME 31.3

Up to the outlet of the block valve will definitly require pressure design of some kind. Is your plant code B31.3? If so, then yes, up to and including the valve.

To prevent possible confusion in the future, it might be best to come off the pressure pipe with a separate vent valve and line, if at all possible.
