We are using Natural Gas in our Ammonia Plant. Natural Gas is Supplied to us at 40 bar pressure and 35°C temperature. We first reduce the pressure of the Gas to 6 bar by the letdown valve and then use it as fuel. We are exploring the feasibility of installing natural gas expander for the pressure reduction instead of let down valve.

The expander shall be coupled with the generator to produce the power.

We would like to know the names of the vendors who can supply natural gas expander suitable to the above service.

You might look at Atlas-Copco also.

Wilke,

Atals Copco >>> Rotoflow >>>> Nuovo Pignone >>> GE Power Systems.... One and the same.
