hi i have not long started as a trainee designer and was looking to find out is a vector separator a type of separation or just the make of the separator. if it is a type of separation, can someone explain how it works if it is any different from the typical separator or forward me to a site which has any information about it as i have been searching for a while now.

thanks to anyone who can contribute to this post

leo.

Are you sure someone isn't pulling a joke on you? If they ask you to get a sky hook, tell them to get their own.

I've never heard of a vector separator.

But I'm in the USA, so if you're speaking some deviant version of American such as is spoken in that small green island off the coast of Europe, perhaps it goes by another name over here.

i cant imagine it as its for work and also a final assessment.

Trainee designer, for what industry?
Some sort of solids screening device perhaps?
Tell them you are working on it while you think up an appropriate response.

When I typed "vector separator" into Google, the top listing was THIS THREAD. I think someone is yanking your chain, or you are yanking ours.

Check the Federal Register, U.S. Department of Transporation, Federal Aviation Administation Advisory Curculars for flight controller terminology associated with vectoring aircraft to maintain proper separation.

The other likely possibility might be the safety device added to prevent crossing the streams.

Dr. Egon Spengler: There's something very important I forgot to tell you.
Dr. Peter Venkman: What?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Don't cross the streams.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Why?
Dr. Egon Spengler: It would be bad.
Dr. Peter Venkman: I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing. What do you mean, "bad"?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.
Dr Ray Stantz: Total protonic reversal.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Right. That's bad. Okay. All right. Important safety tip. Thanks, Egon.

For that one needs algorithms orientated on parallel calculating procedures. We propose the method of the separating decomposition of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) orientated to the creation of the DFT algorithms with a flexible structure characterized by the parametrical adjustability to different forms of parallel processing. We consider the recursive vector DFT algorithms based on the separating decomposition of DFT in which both the algorithm of the standard fast Fourier transform (FFT) and the mixed-radix FFT algorithm can be used.

Abstract
We show that a dense G? in the unit sphere of a Hilbert space necessarily contains an orthonormal basis. This allows us to choose an orthonormal basis of cyclic and separating vectors for a standard von Neumann algebra.

My god JL, you have too much free time on your hands.
