VB6 followhyperlink permission denied

I am trying to launch files using the Application.followhyperlink "file://c:\some folder\some file.pdf" method. This worked fine in an Access VBA program but in VB6 I keep getting error 70 Permission denied for the same files. I have referenced MS Access.


I can use shell to lauch an application but not a file based on file extension.

Help Please!
