VB6 and Excel2000 1

While trying to link Excel2000 from vb6 Data
i get the message of Uninstallable ISAM.
i was selecting EXCEL8 , which was the latest in the list.
though access2000 is connecting without an error.

u have to activate the macro-87 option in excel.

and from where should i activate macro87, and how does it satisfy ISAM problem?
