You may want to check with the Eng-Tips sister site, Tek-Tips. It is geared more towards programming, and I think that this topic was covered in the VB 5&6 forum. Just do a search for Zip in that forum and you should find the related threads. DimensionalSolutions@Core.com

There are a number of activex controls that let you work with zip archives. I would recommend this route as they have already been debugged.
