I am trying to find any information/advice on writing a VB script to replace links for files in a product. The each file is located in one of two folders (the file would be in either the std. part folder or the ref folder). The replace operation is quite repetitive. It would be nice to write a script which would go through each part in the tree and search both folders to find the file and link to it. Any help would be most appreciated.

Something to consider is process change. If you use publication with the same name on linked and constrained items the replace command will automatically update these links.

This is a little bit more complicated...first you need to loop thru the specification tree, get the parts name, probably you have (for example) a text file with corresponding new parts name which will replace the old ones (or you have your own criteria), get from there new parts name, then search this new part in your designated folders and replace in your catproduct....

If you post some code maybe we can help you.
