I would like to develop some apps to add to SE. Is visual studio the best thing to have for this or are there better/other options.

I'm looking at Visual studio 2005 standard edition.

Jef.

P.S. Does anybody know if PMI functions in V19 work with the foundation level SE software? I can't get an answer from GTAC.

Personnaly, I prefer VB.NET for developpment but C++ (C#?) is also an option, which I think are both included in Visual Studio 2005. I don't think though you need the full edition of Visual Studio... Have a look at Jason Newell site ( for help and examples, very helpful!
