Variable Speed Drive/motor/gear noise

Has anyone had any experience with "noise" coming from motors and/or gears that are run with variable speed drives.
Specifically, a noise that begins at about 25Hz of full speed and continues through 45Hz. From 45Hz to 60Hz the "noise" disappears. Seems too wide of a range for a mechanical resonance. I think it is the Drive.
