Validation of standard fittings under EN 13445

Dears,

Linking to the above thread, I would like to know how do you validate the use of standard fittings, such us bend, reducer (concentric or eccentric) ecc. under EN 13445, since the exact dimensions are not tabulated.

Should FEA be necessary?

If that were the only option, that'd be an utter waste of time and effort. It should be more simple and straightforward.
I would assume that type B fittings, just like under EN 13480, don't require additional calculations - their use would be appropriate without any further calcs, based on equivalent seamless pipe of same material and (nominal) wall thickness.

Maybe check with your NoBo, or write a question to the EN 13445 committee;
