I am trying to size a couple of sorbtion traps for a vacuum pipeline (sieves) and I would like be able to make sure the pipeline will support the required flow level at my desired vacuum level.
I know there will be a couple of tees, elbows and the approximate length of pipe.
Does anyone have a general guideline for calculating the overall conductance of the pipeline? I am familiar with calculating pressure drops, friction factors etc, but conductance is not something I have really encountered before.
The system needs to support about 40 CFM at a vacuum level of .78 torr.
