I need to extract boundary curves in V5 in order to generate a wireframe model. This was easy in V4 all I had to do was go to curve1 and select boundary and click on my solid model. I saw a method for getting edge curves for surfaces in V5 but then you end up with double entities for all the shared edges. Can boundary curves be extracted in V5
from the solid?

dear friend,

to convert the solid model to wirframe model go to
tools >> options >> compatibility >> iges >> in this page keep the wireframe option on in case of export and save the model as iges and u will get the curve model.

I tried to go to the optional but somehow I couldn't save the model like iges. have I done something wrong with these step. Please show me, really appreciated

Dear Friend

may be u had kept the model in no show. Please make it visible. Only keep the required solid or surfaces in show mode.
And the process is same what i told you.
I tried it at my end. it works,,,,,
