UV protection coating

Has any work been done on a gel-coat like material that can be used with graphite epoxy pre-preg? That would be applied during lay-up and would take the place of paint.

There are several forms of in mold coating that can be used in place of gel-coat. Were you looking for a film material or a sprayable in mold coating?
An example of a sprayable in mold coating would be Futura polyurethane gel coat. by ITW Futura coatings Inc.,
