Hi
Does anybody know where to find some background information on slide line contact from Nastran, or especially how to use it within (NX) Nastran. I have an example of slide line functionality which is included within the install of FEMAP, but this works only in this particular example, at least for me! When I try to model something for myself, I get nothing! I use the nonlinear static module with enforced displacements as load. I specify a incremental load (enforced displacement) via Model -> Load -> Nonlinear analysis in some 200 increments, but the solution won't converge.
What I am trying to model is basically the insertion of "cylinder-shaped" object in some kind of "cavity". What I am intrested in is the force neeeded to force the part in its place. Please have a look at the file attached to get an idea of the model.
Thanks in advance.
